
There has been an update to the Speed Calculator, which was recently found to have a few bugs in it. Now the speed calculator will accurately portray the speed and turns to come no matter when in the battle it is. Please check it out and if you see any problems please let cntrstrk14 know!
We have another dump of small changed to the NA system in anticipation of our upcoming Chuunin Exams! In no particularly important order, they are as follows...
- Added "Path of the Shaman" to the main site; Skills: Basic Paths
- The skill "Strategist" has been changed to compensate for confusion from AoE and Multi-target jutsu; Skills: General
- The skill "Mountaineer: Rocky Terrain Bonus" has been nerfed to bring its power level more in line with the other skills in the set; Skills: General
- The skill "Gate Alignment" has been removed from the site as it is no longer needed.

- The following two rules have been added to the "Regular Training" rules under the Leveling System; Leveling System: Regular Training
- In Character posts that are not missions, GM arcs or battles do not automatically default as training. It is entirely possible to write a post that will gain you no EXP. Staff may decide that training does not gain EXP based on content.
A slew of random updates for your everyday enjoyment! First up, weapons now have a cap on their level! This cap is level 100, if you have a weapon over the cap currently, please consult the forum news post about this update. Secondly, Mission Rewards have gotten a substantial boost. This is for any mission approved after this update and is NOT retroactive, sorry! Third, we have some brand new jutsu rules, Increase Critical Chance on Jutsu! Check out the Jutsu rules linked below. Last, but not least, we have changed the name of "Hidden in Plain Sight Level Trapper" to simply "Hidden in Plain Sight". Thank you!

After some discussion and review, the skill Combinatorial Element; Ash has been changed from -10% Evasion for a player hit to -10% to dodge on the following response phase for a player hit. Hopefully you all enjoyed the extrmely brief time where Ash techniques were far more powerful than anticipated!

As well, the following paths have had additions added to them to give more options for Hybrid characters. We hope to continue to branch out paths like this in the future, adding to our existing path choices rather than creating similiar paths down the road.
Path of the True Warrior
Second to lastly, the missing nin rules have been clarified to define when they may level to the next rank (since level caps no longer exist and could not be referenced anywhere on the main site. Level caps are Level 30 for Chuunin, Level 60 for Jounin and Level 100 for Sennin.
And lastly, Death bonus rolls have been made more clear. The most prevelant of these changes is the following ammendment: "Bonus rolls are made only when you are planning to make the character who it will be applied to. Character sheet must be posted within 14 days of the roll or the roll will become invalid."
Path of the Scout has been updated and all of the Terrain Bonus skills have had their requirements adjusted to make them more clear. In addition, some of the Terrain Bonus skills have had their names changed slightly, so please check them and update.

Summons have gotten a minor overhaul, please refer to the following thread for complete details.
This change included edits to Kuchiyose no Jutsu, Path of the Mystic, and multiple other areas. As always, please make sure that any information found on your character sheet is up to date.
Multiple Target Jutsu
- These rules were completely rewritten to be much more clear. The sum of the wording changes can be summed up in one golden rule: "One modifier per turn. Always."
Prone
- Had the "cannot relocate" clause removed, because it was rather silly and had no basis in the battle system.
Taijutsu Style Rules
- Added a clause that states you may only gain charges once per turn. This means you may gain more than one charge at a time, but only once per turn.
Ox Style
- Now gives charges whenever a technique is used rather than on every hit. This is because the style is more defensive based and also has smaller bonuses per point than other styles.
Today we have made a change to the skills "Shiva, the Destroyer", "Brahma, the Creator", "Sealed Ninjutsu" and "Sealed Genjutsu". These changes should not be a surprise, as we have unofficially for a long time kept characters from doing what we are now officially stating. Please take a look at them on our skill page.

The following changes have been made to the rules...
- Defense no longer follows the 1.5x Maximum addition rule; Stat Descriptions.
- Defense may only reduce damage to 5% of its total; Stat Descriptions.
- Summon Affinity has been removed from the site, if you had it you may have points refunded.
- Path of the Mystic has been editted accordingly; Basic Paths.

New training rules have been posted, updating the old. Check them out here for more information! In addition, there has been a small update the Self Defense and Pervert hindering skills. The wording has been updated as to be more clear on the effects. Check it out on the skills page.

The status effect "Bleed/Burning" has been ammended to included the following statement: "The total bleed damage in a single technique cannot break the damage cap for that technique when added together with the regular damage that it deals". This was added to prevent abuse of the bleeding effect and circumventing the damage cap intended to keep the game fair.

Level caps for rank advancement have been abolished! From now on you can continue to gain levels even if you don't rank up! Let the level 80 Genin parade begin! (Remember, you can still learn only techniques of your rank or a rank above you at twice the cost, no matter your level)

Did a cleaning up on Sealing Jutsu rules. No changes, only clarifications on how they work. Take a look Sealing Jutsu: 5.15.
Due to a clerical error since the release of 7.0, Genjutsu on the main site has been incorrectly represented. This has been fixed, please check out Genjutsu: 2.01g.
A new set of pet rules has been posted. They are drastically different, so if you are one of the minority of players who has a pet based character, please read over these. More than likely you will have to build the stats of your pet all over again. If you have any questions, please PM a staff member about them. Check them out! (Pet Rules: 8.03)
Three changes have been made.
In the Death and Bonuses Rules (1.14) a clause has been added that was in effect for a long time but never made it to the main site. This is a clause about starting money for a character above level 0 on character creation. Please look it up.
The Sparing and Life & Death Battle rules have been cleared up and rewritten to be more balanced and useful. Please check them out at 3.09 and 4.02.
The skill "Self-Defense" has had a wording change. The effect has stayed the same, but the wording was changed to make speed rules easier to deal with during battle.
Two changes to techniques and two additions to the site have been made.
Haste and Slow: Two new status effects available on the main page. Go check them out!
Bunshin no Jutsu has been clarified and Four Man Purple Flame Array (Shishienjin) has been changed, go check them out in the techniques!
Two new Basic Path skills have been added to the skills page. Path of the Mesmer and Path of the Generalist. Go check them out here!
In addition, the "Fighting Style" skills from the skill page were renamed to "Battle Stances". In addition, they can now be activated or switched in the Response Phase or Setup Phase by sacrificing that phase.
Three major changes (+some minor ones) have been main to the site. The first is the relatively smallest but the one that impacts the actual game the most. The jutsu rules have been modified slightly to include a new set of rules which are called "Jutsu Tags" (which has always really been implied but is now written down). Please see 5.01: Jutsu Requirements and Tags.
Which brings us nicely to our second change to the site, the addition of the Rules Index page, found at the bottom of the rules on the left navigation. This is an index to EVERY rule on the website, and it helps to organize and find rules when you need them, please check it out.
And the final major change to the site is the addition of another page, our Beginnger's Guide. This will evolve over the next week or two, but as of now it is a similiar, yet massively shorter, guide as the Rules Index page. It highlights the most basic rules that every player needs to know to play the game.
Finally, some minor changes, updates and revamps have been made on various other pages including About, Affiliates, Link to NA and Report (Now Contact/Feedback).
The following clause has been added to the Blocking Rules under the Battle System. "A dodge roll between 1 and 10 is never a block, regardless of what a character's block range is."
The following two changes have been made.
- The skills Steadfast Durability and Inner Calm have had their Jounin Training removed as well as a rank cap placed on them of 10 ranks maximum.
- The following clause was ammended to the Response Phase Jutsu; Genin ranked Response Phase jutsu may only work on one specific type of attack. Categories such as "Taijutsu", "Ninjutsu" and "Genjutsu" are too broad and must be further broken down, such as "Hand Based Taijutsu", "Fire Ninjutsu", "Hearing Based Genjutsu".
A new rule that allows for bonuses to be recieved when you recruit a new player have been added! Check them out in the RPG Rules!
Also; Path of the Warrior had a typo fixed. Path of the Defender and Path of the True Defender both had small tweaks.
The Climate effect 'Monsoon' had a rather nasty typo in it. Instead of a -50% to hit with all physical attacks it was suppose to be a -20%. This was in the 7.0 rule changes topic but failed to get pulled over the site correctly during updates. Sorry for the confusion.
Concentration has been editted. It previously had been updated incorrectly, it is now fixed.
The status effect "Susceptible" has been removed. Any techniques or abilities that have "Susceptible" in them can be considered to have "Exposed" instead.
Path of the Defender, Path of the True Defender, Extreme Endurance, Extreme Will, Martial Artist, Ninjutsu Master, Warrior, Defensive Martial Artist, Resistance Mastery and Genjutsu Creator have all been updated.
New summon creation rules have been posted, they have replaced and added too the old rules, go check them out!

The Five Year Time Skip is now in affect!
The forums have been shut down for the next two days. During this time we will be updating for 7.0 and reorganizing the forum. We will be back up on Thursday, August 27th!
An in game calander has been added to the main site. This will be updated with major events as they happen and are brought to the attention of the staff.
Added the 'Progession Guide' on the left menu. Consists of a Skill Point, Jutsu Point and TXP Point chart for leveling.
The three status effect 'Quarantine' has been added to the main page. Go to the effect page and check them out.
The status effect 'Dehydrated' has been added to the main page.
Dehydrated: Whenever target spends stamina or chakra, they spend 20% more.
Max Duration: 3 turns
DP: 40/turn
The rank bonuses for being promoted to Chuunin and Jounin have been changed, as well as a rank bonus for Sennin has been added. The new rules can be found in the Leveling Rules underneath the Rank Advancing area, please edit your character sheets accordingly.
The status effect 'Migraine' have been added to the main page.
Two changes have been made, the first and simpler change is the wording of the hindering skill 'Fear of Elements'. The wording of the effect has been changed from the old wording to the following.
User is 'stunned' and 'disorganized' for one post after seeing an offensive jutsu of (Element) type used in battle by someone aside themselves or an ally, unless said ally is targeting the user.
The second change is a few significant tweaks to the Death Bonus rules. The roll chances have been changed to these.
Gifted: 51-70
Genius: 71-85
Prodigy: 86-95
Legend: 96-100
Also, there was a few typos in the rules that I wanted to clarify. Read over the bullet points. The second, and last, large scale change is the allowing of second characters to roll for death bonuses (but only under certain circumstances. The following are the new rules that have been put on the main page.
The final change was to remind all of you guys (the players) that death bonuses are a gift and can be taken away or not allowed if we see fit. We usually like to give it out and allow people to progress characters, but if we see people purposely killing their character or doing things that lead to poor RP in the name of a death bonus, it is likely that you will not be allowed a death bonus at all, and in severe cases, we may even lower the amount of TXP you may gain.

There is a new page added for the IRC Channel. The page holds an embedded client to log onto IRC and into our own channel. It was not placed on the forum because of issues with loading times and other problems. Enjoy.
There have been a few changes to four of the five specialties. The changes are as follows.
Wind: Changed to be able to choose tai, gen or nin.
Water: Changed to effect addition/subtractions.
Earth: Changed to base damage.
Lightning: Changed to hit with tai/nin or genjutsu.
A few typos in the Path of the Defender skill have been fixed, along with the skills that are attained through them.
